 Directions to EEL PIE ISLAND
By Road from London
Take A4, Cromwell Road towards Heathrow
At the Talgarth roundabout, take the second exit onto A316 Burlington Lane towards Richmond.
Exit the A316 towards Twickenham
Turn left at traffic lights onto London Road and past Twickenham Station.
At the next sets of traffic lights, you will see HSBC Bank on your left, and Barclays Bank straight in front of you, take the left turn into Water Lane. Turn right onto The Embankment, you will see the footbridge that leads to EEL PIE ISLAND.
Park your car on the Embankment and please obtain a pay & display parking ticket from the machine before leaving your vehicle.
By Road from M25
Take J12 off the M25 heading onto the M3 into London
The M3 becomes the A316
At the 3rd roundabout on the A316, take the last exit into Twickenham
At the traffic lights take the first exit up the hill and past Twickenham Railway Station on your left, carry straight on down the hill through the 2 sets of traffic lights, continue straight on, passing Waitrose on your left.
At the next sets of traffic lights, you will see HSBC Bank on your left, and Barclays Bank straight in front of you, take the left turn into Water Lane. Turn right onto The Embankment, you will see the footbridge that leads to EEL PIE ISLAND
Park your car on the Embankment and please obtain a pay & display parking ticket from the machine before leaving your vehicle.
By Rail from London
Twickenham Station is serviced by overland rail from London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Wimbledon, Kingston and Reading to the West. A fast service from Waterloo takes approximately 20 minutes.
From Twickenham Railway Station, turn left, straight down the hill through two sets of traffic lights, past Waitrose on your left.
At the next set of traffic lights, you will see HSBC Bank on your left, and Barclays Bank straight in front of you, take the left turn into Water Lane. Turn right onto The Embankment, you will see the footbridge that leads to EEL PIE ISLAND.
By London Underground
Take the District line to Richmond.
Take a (490, R70, H22) bus just outside Richmond Station to Twickenham
Get off at Kings Road, walk to your left towards Barclays Bank, take the first right turn into Water Lane
Continue to walk down towards the river. Turn right onto The Embankment, you will see the footbridge that leads to EEL PIE ISLAND
NOW - the Fun Bit
Walk over the footbridge and follow the main path all the way until you reach a set of large blue doors marked "Eel Pie Slipways".
Walk through the small door on the left which leads into a working boatyard (yes, really!).
Walk through the boatyard and on the other side on your left you (behind large white gates) will find PHOENIX WHARF
We are in the right hand side building, unit 2 lower deck, 2nd to last from the far end.
